About Iqra
Iqra Jalal is currently completing her Master’s in Psychology (M.Psy.) at Adler Graduate Professional School. She has specialized training in trauma-informed care, with an emphasis on the Foundations of Violence Against Women (VAW) Practice, Risk Assessment and Safety Planning. Efficient in Crisis Management and De-escalation techniques, with a sound awareness of community resources, Iqra has a strong ability to identify and mitigate risks with extensive knowledge about diversity, equity, inclusion, and the ability to identify potential barriers to healing.

Iqra aims to explore the subconscious motivations behind behaviours from a Psychodynamic Approach to understand the influence of past experiences on the present, processing trauma, and allowing her clients to deepen self-understanding.
With in-depth experience supporting individuals with experiences of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, interpersonal violence and family crises, Iqra provides a safe, compassionate and empathetic setting with her work, valuing the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships and fostering a supportive environment for clients.
